WebJul 25, 2008 · We would not put a gated Wye on a 2-1/2 in hose. We consider the max flow of a 2-1/2 inch to be 300gpm, and the max flow on a 1-3/4 to be 200 each. Therefore, two 1-3/4 hand lines will theoretically outflow the 2-1/2 inch supply. We only use the gated Wye on a 3 inch to supply two 1-3/4 hand lines. But, that's just us. Your mileage will vary.
